As an adoptive mom to a son from Guatemala, this country holds a deeply special place in my heart as I'm sure it does for you too. This journey has been thoughtfully designed for families who want to return to the place where it all began—connecting with the culture, history, and each other in a deeply meaningful way.

Day 1

Arrival in Guatemala

Arrive in Guatemala City and enjoy a private transfer with a scenic hour-long drive to Antigua, where colonial charm and warm hospitality await at Los Pasos Boutique Hotel.

 

The day concludes with a Welcome Dinner to kick off the journey ahead.

Day 2

Antigua Exploration

Spend the morning exploring Antigua's colonial history and vibrant market, with food tastings and a local lunch along the way.

 

Enjoy a free afternoon to explore at your own pace before resting easy back at Los Pasos Boutique Hotel.

Day 3

Coffee & Culture

Immerse in a fair trade coffee experience, learning the journey from bean to cup before sharing a local lunch with the coffee-growing family.

 

Spend the afternoon connecting with fellow travelers before another overnight at Los Pasos Boutique Hotel.

Day 4

Onward to Lake Atitlán

Transfer to the breathtaking Lake Atitlán, with a stop for lunch at a local restaurant along the way.

 

Check into Hotel Atitlán and settle into your Lake View room, with stunning views to greet you for the days ahead.

Day 5

San Juan Village & Weaving Workshop

Set out by boat for San Juan Village, where a guided tour and local lunch await. Spend the afternoon in a weaving workshop with a local cooperative, learning the traditions behind their craft, before a fun tuc tuc ride back to the boat.

 

Return to Hotel Atitlán for another overnight.

Day 6

Your Choice at the Lake

Today is yours to shape — choose between a hands-on cooking class, a scenic lakeshore hike, or simply a free day to relax and soak in Lake Atitlán, with time built in to connect with fellow travelers along the way.

 

Another overnight awaits at Hotel Atitlán.

Day 7

Chichicastenango & Farewell

Transfer back to Antigua with a stop at the vibrant Chichicastenango Market, one of Central America's most iconic, followed by a local lunch along the way.

 

The day comes full circle with a Farewell Dinner and one last overnight at Los Pasos Hotel.

Day 8

Departure

Enjoy a final breakfast at the hotel before your individual transfer back to Guatemala City Airport. ¡Adiós, Guatemala!

International airfare to and from Guatemala City.

TRAVEL INSURANCE

Because travel insurance is priced individually based on age and the number of travelers, it isn't included in your package. That said, we highly recommend it to safeguard your trip. A quote tailored to your party will be provided upon registration.

PASSPORT FEES

A passport valid for at least 6 months past your departure date is required for entry into Guatemala.

SOME MEALS

Dinners are not included in your package price, with the exception of the Welcome and Farewell dinners.

OPTIONAL ACTIVITIES

We've intentionally woven free time into your itinerary — a chance to wander, explore, or simply soak it all in at your own pace. Any activities during this time are at your own expense.

GRATUITIES

Gratuities for drivers, guides, hotel staff, and other service providers are not included in the package.

GETTING THERE

Fly into La Aurora International Airport in Guatemala City.

Private transportation is included in your package. Your driver will pick you directly from the airport and will take you right to your hotel in Antigua where you can settle in.

Before reserving your space, we invite you to take a moment to review the important details of this experience. Our Terms and Conditions and Frequently Asked Questions are here to provide clarity, answer common questions, and ensure you feel fully informed and confident as you move forward.

YOUR INVESTMENT & PAYMENT OPTIONS

Your investment for this journey is $3,375 per person, based on double occupancy. A single occupancy supplement of $1,050 applies for those traveling solo.

A non-refundable deposit of $500 per person secures your space, and is recommended by July 31, 2026. Due to the intimate nature of this trip and limited availability, spaces will be confirmed on a first come, first served basis.

Flexible monthly payment options are available, and incremental mandatory payments are outlined below.
